This was very rich. Some takers didn\u2019t want the caramel sauce. My gourmet son said it DID need the sauce to help cut through the bitter of the filling and help it shine. He said the crust had a nice texture, a good chew and flavor. <\/p>

I had to stir ALWAYS not occasionally on the sauce and lower the heat.
