I haven't made this recipe but it looks yummy! I've made similar. I haven't used bourbon (but need to try) and sometimes I skip the white wine (depends what I have in house) One thing I would change here (my own taste preference) is change out the basil and use fresh thyme. Mushrooms and tyme (and garlic) are wonderful combo\/( three some).<\/p>
Something I've changed over the years when breading chicken or pork, I skip the flour-egg combo and instead just mix breadcrumbs with a touch of flour (mixed in with the crumbs). I did increase the chicken stock to 3\/4 cup and the whipping cream to almost a half cup to make more sauce. You can always add a little thickener.
