Even my picky eater commented, \"That dinner last night tasted good but the chicken was so dry.\" I used three large split breasts and they just nicely filled up my 6 qt. slow cooker. The cooker did not dry out. In fact there was quite a bit of broth in it. I followed the recipe exactly. I love onion, cooked or raw but felt as if 2 large onions were too much. One would have been plenty. I served it over rice. If I try this again I will use chicken thighs.","reviewRating":{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Rating","ratingValue":3,"worstRating":1,"bestRating":5}},{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Review","datePublished":"2024-11-16","author":{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Person","name":"Scottye"},"reviewBody":"

Delicious! I made this tonight with a couple of changes. I used the whole chicken, skin on, and didn't cut it up. It seemed to stay very tender and juicy. I followed the recipe to the tee. When I tasted the sauce it tasted very good. But when I served it up all I could taste was apricots and a tang. I couldn't eat a whole serving.<\/p>

We discussed it and tried to come up with changes that would make it taste better but we drew a blank. So disappointed. It smelled so good and the sauce tasted good.
