Orange sorbet is a guilt-free frozen treat, as oranges are a fantastic source of vitamin C. Plus, it\u2019s incredibly easy to make, provided you have an ice cream machine, and even if not.<\/p>\n
Get ready to make the most refreshing after-dinner dessert or summertime snack.<\/p>\n
First, combine the sugar, water, and orange peel in a small saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and then discard the orange peel. Set it aside to cool.<\/p>\n
In a large bowl, combine the orange juice, lemon juice, orange liqueur (if using), and reserved sugar mixture.<\/p>\n
Then, fill the cylinder of your ice cream maker with the mixture and freeze according to the manufacturer\u2019s directions. Transfer the mixture to a freezer container and freeze for at least eight hours (or overnight).<\/p>\n
Homemade orange sorbet can last for up to two weeks, provided it\u2019s stored properly in an airtight container, in the freezer.<\/p>\n
