It features tender chicken thighs<\/a>, al dente pasta and veggies (broccoli florets and peas) and is seasoned with an herbaceous pesto sauce. Best part? You’ll need no more than 30 minutes to make it from start to finish and you can prepare the entire meal in one large, nonstick skillet.<\/p>\n Although relying on store-bought pesto helps get dinner on the table even faster, you can always up the ante by making a batch of homemade pesto if time allows. Not to mention, making fresh pesto is easy\u2014and so worth it\u2014especially if you have an abundance of fresh basil. Just follow our step-by-step homemade pesto recipe<\/a>. The result is a brighter, fresher-tasting pasta dish.<\/p>\n Toss chicken with the seasoning blend. In a large nonstick skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and brown it evenly and remove it from the pan.<\/p>\n In the same pan, combine the broth and lemon juice and bring them to a boil, stirring to loosen the browned bits from the pan. Other short noodles\u2014which hold pasta sauce better due to their shape\u2014such as campanelle, penne, rotini, gomiti, orecchiette and casarecce, would work just as well. That said, we don’t suggest using long noodles like spaghetti and fettuccine since this recipe calls for several mix-ins such as cut-up chicken, broccoli and peas.
