This was an amazing dessert. It measured out to 4 big pears. Only change to this recipe was that I added chopped pecans to the pear mixture. As another review suggested, I added a quick oat crisp topping: 1 cup + 2 tbsp flour, 1 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon, 2 cups old fashioned whole rolled oats, and 2 sticks of cold salted butter cut up into cubes. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Transfer to a food processor, add cubed butter, and process until mixed together. I broke up the topping and covered the entire cooked pear mixture and put the skillet into a 350 oven until the topping browned. Kept checking to make sure it wasn't over browning. Took about 20 min. Served it warm with vanilla ice cream. This was as good as any dessert served in a restaurant. Absolutely wonderful!!
