I love root beer flavoring, and upped the concentrate to a tbsp. The color was pretty, but it did not taste like root beer at all. This was using root beer concentrate. The recipe is basically the old Kraft Fantasy Fudge recipe I've made for 40 + years with the flavors changed. The good news is that it tastes delicious and is just the right consistency. The only problem I had was with the color. Even with root beer concentrate, the root beer layer was too pale. I added a bit of regular food coloring to it, but it was going to take a fair amount to get it root beer brown. The next time, I'll buy some concentrated brown color from a local cake decorating and candy making supply store to color it. Seems like it will be a great recipe to make during the upcoming holiday season.BTW, I couldn't find McCormick root beer concentrate at my local grocery stores. Instead, I bought Watkin's brand at my local Wal Mart.","reviewRating":{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Rating","ratingValue":4,"worstRating":1,"bestRating":5}},{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Review","datePublished":"2016-08-10","author":{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Person","name":"CyanPlanet"},"reviewBody":"Who doesn't love rootbeer - it was the perfect color and taste was perfect too","reviewRating":{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Rating","ratingValue":5,"worstRating":1,"bestRating":5}},{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Review","datePublished":"2015-06-02","author":{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Person","name":"GreenBattery"},"reviewBody":"My family loves this recipe. But be warned, this is for those with serious sweet tooths. You'll also want to make sure to use the root beer concentrate and not an extract. I made that mistake at first and couldn't figure out what went wrong. It didn't get brown at all. My husband was the one who noticed the ingredient called for was concentrate and I had an extract. The only problem I found was the color combo for the brown. However, it's on the back of the McCormick Asst. food coloring box (5 red, 6 ylw, 3 green) That gives it a tan color. This recipe is essentially the fantasy fudge recipe on marshmallow fluff jars. I love root beer flavoring, and upped the concentrate to a tbsp. I made this following these directions to a \"T\" and it has some issues...1. No Brown\/White layers...both are white...where's you get the color from? 2. I made this yesterday for the first time. Seems like it will be a great recipe to make during the upcoming holiday season.<\/p>

BTW, I couldn't find McCormick root beer concentrate at my local grocery stores.
