Lemon Hawaiian Sweet Rolls

These Sweet Hawaiian rolls filled with a citrusy lemon filling can be served for breakfast, brunch or dessert. They're drizzled with a glaze made from confectioners' sugar, lemon juice and milk. —Darlene Brenden, Salem, Oregon

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 ounces) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1/2 cup lemon pie filling
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 3 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 3 teaspoons 2% milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°. Separate rolls. Cut a deep "X" in the top of each roll, but do not cut through the bottoms. Place in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Spoon or pipe pie filling into the cut top of each roll. In small bowl, whisk butter, honey and lemon zest; drizzle over rolls.
  2. Bake until tops are browned, 15-17 minutes. In a small bowl, whisk confectioners' sugar, lemon juice and milk until smooth; drizzle over rolls. Serve warm or at room temperature.
